1. Overview

PornoScout respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Important: PornoScout is a meta-search engine. We do not host any content.

All content indexed by our search engine is hosted on third-party websites. If you find infringing content, you should contact the hosting website directly for fastest removal. However, we can remove links from our search index upon valid DMCA notice.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a notice of copyright infringement, please provide the following information in writing to our DMCA Agent:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: The specific URL(s) in our search index that you claim are infringing, with enough detail for us to locate them.
  3. Your contact information: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Processing of Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice
  • Review the notice for completeness and validity
  • Remove or disable access to the identified URLs in our search index
  • Make a good faith effort to notify the content host

Please note that removing a URL from our search index does not remove the content from the internet. You must contact the hosting website directly to have the actual content removed.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement consenting to jurisdiction of federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the complainant

6. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating access for users or websites that are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

7. Misrepresentation Warning

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

8. Contact for Fastest Resolution

Since we do not host content, the fastest way to remove infringing material is to contact the website hosting the content directly. We recommend:

  1. Visit the page containing the infringing content
  2. Look for "Contact," "DMCA," or "Report" links on that website
  3. File a takedown notice directly with the hosting website
  4. Optionally, also notify us to remove the link from our search index
